WandStore Documentation
Welcome to the WandStore documentation. These docs cover the Shopify app, theme app blocks, Studio, audiences, analytics, billing, privacy, and troubleshooting.
What is WandStore?
Section titled “What is WandStore?”WandStore is a Shopify app for generating AI-powered storefront experiences that fit inside an existing Shopify theme. Merchants add WandStore app blocks to theme surfaces, then use Studio to generate, preview, version, and publish the content that appears in those blocks.
Core concepts
Section titled “Core concepts”| Concept | What it means |
|---|---|
| Surface | A place in the Shopify theme where WandStore can render, such as a widget block on the home page or a homepage replacement block. |
| Widget | A focused generated module, such as a banner, modal, promotion, upsell, recommendation, reorder prompt, or campaign block. |
| Experience | A generated output for one surface, audience, and placement. Each experience can have drafts, live versions, and history. |
| Audience | Who should see an experience: default visitors, one customer, or a Shopify-tag cohort. |
| Studio | The app screen where merchants create experiences, write instructions, generate drafts, promote versions, and iterate. |
Which block should I use?
Section titled “Which block should I use?”| Use case | Best block |
|---|---|
| Add a banner, modal, upsell, recommendation, reorder prompt, gift guide, loyalty module, or promotion inside an existing page | WandStore Widget |
| Test a personalized module without changing the rest of the theme page | WandStore Widget |
| Add multiple personalized surfaces to the same page | WandStore Widget |
| Replace most of the home page for a larger campaign while keeping the theme header and footer | WandStore Homepage |
| Build a full-page experience for a specific customer or campaign audience | WandStore Homepage |
Choose WandStore Widget when the generated experience belongs inside an existing page section. Choose WandStore Homepage when the generated experience should take over the main page area.
