Campaign Emails
Every campaign can include an email: a real, designed, brand-styled HTML marketing email — not a plain-text note. WandStore builds it from your store’s products, theme colors and typography, the campaign angle, and the approved offer, and every “shop” link points the recipient back to the live campaign experience, personalized with their first name.
The email is a generated asset
Section titled “The email is a generated asset”Like a storefront widget, the campaign email is a generated asset with its own draft and version history. It’s created when you Prepare package, and you review it in Studio alongside the widget:
- Subject line
- Preview text
- HTML body
You can iterate on it before approval, just like any other generated experience.
Who receives it
Section titled “Who receives it”The email goes only to the email-eligible members of the campaign audience — customers subscribed to and eligible for marketing email in Shopify.
- If some members aren’t email-eligible, they’re simply not emailed (the widget still reaches them onsite).
- If no one in the audience is email-eligible, the email step is skipped and the rest of the campaign still runs.
- At send time, each recipient is re-checked against live Shopify data; anyone who has become ineligible or is missing an email address is excluded, and the exclusion is recorded.
See Campaign Audiences & Cohorts for how the total vs. email-eligible counts are determined.
Test before you launch
Section titled “Test before you launch”Before launching, send yourself a test email of the draft from the campaign detail page to see exactly how it renders in a real inbox. You can review and re-check the email draft in Studio at any point while the campaign is still editable.
How and when it sends
Section titled “How and when it sends”The email is sent as part of launch, after the storefront widget is published:
- The widget publishes live first.
- WandStore builds the recipient list (the refreshed email-eligible members) and the provider send.
- The email is sent to those recipients.
Sending real emails requires a connected email provider with production sends enabled. Until then, the email step runs in dry-run (it builds the email but doesn’t deliver it). Configure this in Email Provider Setup.
