Installing the Shopify App

Installing WandStore starts from the WandStore Shopify App Store listing and continues inside Shopify admin.

  1. Open the Shopify App Store from Shopify admin, or visit the WandStore listing directly.
  2. Click Install on the WandStore app listing.
  3. Review the requested permissions and click Install app.
  4. Choose a WandStore plan, or continue with the Free plan when prompted.
  5. Complete onboarding:
    • AI data processing consent
    • Theme app block activation
    • Setup completion

After onboarding, add app blocks to create surfaces that Studio can target.

Shopify asks merchants to approve the permissions WandStore needs for generation, rendering, and analytics.

PermissionWhy it is needed
Read customersTo list customers and build customer context for targeted experiences.
Write customersTo maintain app-managed customer metadata when needed by app workflows.
Read ordersTo use order count, spend, recent orders, and product history in personalization.
Read productsTo use product titles, handles, prices, images, vendors, tags, and availability in generated widgets.
Read discountsTo include active discount context when a widget instruction calls for a real offer.
Read themesTo discover WandStore app blocks and inspect storefront style.
Read pixels / write pixelsTo install or repair the Shopify Web Pixel used for attribution.
Read customer eventsTo support event and conversion analytics.

WandStore does not modify products, orders, or discount rules.

After installation, WandStore is available from Apps > WandStore. The current app navigation includes:

  • Dashboard - Setup status, active surfaces, live experiences, drafts, plan usage, and surface performance.
  • Studio - Create generated experiences, manage versions, preview drafts, and set versions live.
  • Audiences - Search customers and create Shopify-tag cohorts.
  • Analytics - Review rendered, visible, click, add-to-cart, checkout, order, and revenue metrics.
  • Settings - Manage billing, Shopify connection status, Web Pixel status, and account-level controls.
  • Support - Contact support and open product resources.

Use Dashboard, Studio, Audiences, Analytics, and Settings for the main WandStore workflow.

  • Shopify store: A trial or paid Shopify store.
  • Admin permissions: Permission to install apps, plus permission to approve app charges if you choose a paid WandStore plan.
  • Theme compatibility: WandStore requires an Online Store 2.0 theme that supports app blocks.
  • Customer accounts: Customer-specific experiences require customer accounts to be enabled.
  • AI data consent: Generation is disabled until consent is accepted during onboarding.

Customer-specific experiences are shown to eligible signed-in customers. To enable customer accounts:

  1. Go to Settings > Customer accounts in Shopify admin.
  2. Choose either Classic customer accounts or New customer accounts.
  3. Save your changes.

Default visitor widget experiences can be used without a customer match. Customer and subscription-aware experiences need customer identity.

WandStore plans include monthly generation limits. Paid plans can be billed every 30 days or yearly:

PlanMonthly billingYearly billingMonthly generations

Starter$19 / 30 days$190/year ($38 off)50
Growth$49 / 30 days$490/year ($98 off)120
Scale$99 / 30 days$990/year ($198 off)300

Use Settings > Billing in WandStore to review usage or change plans.

Once the app is installed and onboarding is complete, add WandStore app blocks to the theme.
