Quick Start Guide

This guide walks through the shortest path from install to a live WandStore widget.

Before you begin, make sure you have:

  • A Shopify store
  • Shopify admin access with permission to install apps
  • Permission to approve app charges if you choose a paid WandStore plan
  • Permission to edit the active Shopify theme
  • An Online Store 2.0 theme that supports app blocks
  1. Open the WandStore Shopify App Store listing, or search for WandStore in the Shopify App Store.
  2. Click Install and authorize the requested permissions.
  3. Choose a WandStore plan, or continue with the Free plan when prompted.
  4. Return to the WandStore app inside Shopify admin.

For more detail, see Installing the Shopify App.

Onboarding has three required parts:

  1. Review and accept the AI data processing consent.
  2. Add WandStore app blocks to your theme.
  3. Complete setup and go to Audiences.
  1. In Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
  2. Click Customize on the active theme.
  3. Open the template where the widget should appear.
  4. Click Add section or Add block, depending on your theme’s editor structure.
  5. Search for WandStore Widget and add it.
  6. Give the widget a clear name, such as VIP promotion, Reorder prompt, or Gift guide.
  7. Leave the placement key blank unless you need a stable custom key.
  8. Save the theme.

You can also add WandStore Homepage if you want to support full homepage experiences.

  1. Open Apps > WandStore > Studio.
  2. Choose the widget surface placement.
  3. Choose an audience:
    • Default visitor for a general widget.
    • Customer for one-to-one personalization.
    • Cohort for a Shopify-tag audience.
  4. Write a generation instruction, or start from Modal box, Banner, Upsell, or Promotion. These starters are predefined instructions that give WandStore a proven structure for the experience, including layout direction, design expectations, and the kind of content the widget should include.
  5. Click Generate draft.
  1. Open the generated experience from the Studio list.
  2. Select the draft version.
  3. Click Open storefront preview to review it on the live theme with a private preview flag.
  4. If it looks right, click Set selected live.
  5. Refresh the storefront page where the widget block was added.

If the draft needs work, use Generate next version with a short instruction describing what should change.

Open Analytics to review surface performance:

  • Rendered and visible events
  • Clicks
  • Add-to-cart and checkout starts
  • Orders and attributed revenue

Add-to-cart and checkout metrics require the WandStore Shopify Web Pixel to be active. You can check or repair it from Settings.
