Data Usage

WandStore takes a privacy-first approach to personalization. This page explains what data is accessed, how it is used, and what safeguards are in place.

When an eligible customer signs in to your store, WandStore reads Shopify customer and order data to build the personalized storefront experience.

WandStore also uses:

  • Product catalog data — product titles, handles, prices, images, and related storefront product details
  • Merchant-configured brand settings — store name, colors, tone, promotions, featured collections, and custom prompts
  • Customer account tokens — used for customer-account features such as subscription and order experiences where supported

WandStore uses AI to generate personalized storefront layouts and content.

  • Customer purchase context such as order count, customer tier, lifetime spend, and recent order details when relevant
  • Product catalog data from the merchant’s store
  • Merchant-configured brand settings such as colors, tone, promotions, and custom instructions
  • Customer email address
  • Physical address
  • Phone number
  • Payment information
  • IP address or device information
  • Browsing history or tracking data

Personalized storefront data and related app state are stored on Cloudflare infrastructure. Data is:

  • Encrypted in transit — Communication uses HTTPS/TLS.
  • Stored for product operation — Personalized storefront content, customer-account tokens, and related metadata are stored only to support app features and merchant workflows.
  • Not sold or shared — WandStore does not sell, share, or transfer customer data to advertising networks or data brokers.
  • Personalized storefront content is retained until it is cleared, replaced, or deleted as part of customer or store data removal.
  • Customer-account tokens are retained while needed for customer-account features and are deleted when customer or store data is removed.
  • Store credentials and settings are retained while the app remains installed and are deleted when the merchant uninstalls the app or requests deletion.

When Shopify sends GDPR or uninstall webhooks, WandStore removes the corresponding customer or store data from its app storage.

  • Privacy policy — Update your store’s privacy policy to mention that you use WandStore for personalization. See Privacy Practices for suggested language.
  • Customer accounts — Ensure your customer account settings comply with your local privacy regulations.
  • Data requests — Handle customer data requests (access, deletion) through Shopify’s built-in tools. WandStore respects Shopify’s data lifecycle.
