Section titled “What is WandStore?”WandStore is a Shopify app that uses AI to generate storefront widgets and homepage experiences. Merchants add WandStore app blocks to the theme, generate drafts in Studio, preview them, and choose which versions go live.
When should I use WandStore Homepage?
Section titled “When should I use WandStore Homepage?”Use WandStore Homepage when the generated experience should take over the page area, such as a seasonal campaign, launch page, or customer-specific home page. Use WandStore Widget for focused modules inside an existing theme page.
Does WandStore change my theme?
Section titled “Does WandStore change my theme?”WandStore adds theme app blocks. Widget blocks fill their own container and do not replace surrounding theme sections. Homepage blocks can replace larger page areas when intentionally used.
Does WandStore work with all Shopify themes?
Section titled “Does WandStore work with all Shopify themes?”WandStore works with Shopify Online Store 2.0 themes that support app blocks. Older vintage themes that do not support app blocks are not compatible.
Widgets and Studio
Section titled “Widgets and Studio”What is a surface?
Section titled “What is a surface?”A surface is a theme placement where WandStore can render, such as a widget block on the home page or a homepage block.
What is an experience?
Section titled “What is an experience?”An experience is generated content for one surface, audience, and placement. It can have multiple versions, with one selected as live.
Do drafts affect customers?
Section titled “Do drafts affect customers?”No. Drafts stay private until a merchant sets a version live.
Can I preview a draft on the real storefront?
Section titled “Can I preview a draft on the real storefront?”Yes. Studio can create a signed storefront preview URL for a generated version. Preview mode shows a banner and skips shopper tracking.
Can I roll back?
Section titled “Can I roll back?”Yes. Open the experience, select an older version, and use Set selected live.
Audiences
Section titled “Audiences”What audiences can I target?
Section titled “What audiences can I target?”Studio supports default visitor, individual customer, and cohort audiences.
What are cohorts?
Section titled “What are cohorts?”Cohorts are group audiences created from Shopify customer tags.
What are customer tiers?
Section titled “What are customer tiers?”WandStore computes new, casual, regular, and vip tiers from order count and lifetime spend. Tiers are profile context for generation, not the current cohort creation method.
Can anonymous visitors see generated widgets?
Section titled “Can anonymous visitors see generated widgets?”Yes, when a Default visitor widget version is live for the placement. Customer-specific experiences require a signed-in customer match.
Data and privacy
Section titled “Data and privacy”What data does WandStore use?
Section titled “What data does WandStore use?”WandStore can use Shopify customer, order, product, discount, audience, theme, and store context, plus merchant instructions. See Data Usage for details.
What customer data is excluded from generation?
Section titled “What customer data is excluded from generation?”WandStore does not use payment information, passwords, phone numbers, full physical addresses, browsing history, or fingerprinting data for generation.
Does WandStore use browsing-history tracking?
Section titled “Does WandStore use browsing-history tracking?”No. WandStore does not use browsing history, fingerprinting, or advertising cookies for personalization.
Is WandStore GDPR compliant?
Section titled “Is WandStore GDPR compliant?”WandStore supports merchant GDPR workflows through Shopify compliance webhooks and app deletion workflows. See GDPR Compliance.
Performance and analytics
Section titled “Performance and analytics”Does WandStore slow down my store?
Section titled “Does WandStore slow down my store?”WandStore does not run AI generation on shopper page load. Blocks request live generated versions cache-first. If no live version exists, the block renders nothing and the native theme remains intact.
How long does generation take?
Section titled “How long does generation take?”Generation runs in the background from Studio. Typical drafts may take 30-60 seconds depending on provider, products, and prompt complexity.
How do analytics work?
Section titled “How do analytics work?”WandStore tracks rendered, visible, and click events from the storefront. Add-to-cart and checkout events come from the Shopify Web Pixel. Orders and revenue come from Shopify order attribution.
Why are add-to-cart events missing?
Section titled “Why are add-to-cart events missing?”Check Settings > Shopify Web Pixel. If the pixel is missing or misconfigured, click Repair and test again.
Do I need developer skills?
Section titled “Do I need developer skills?”No. Install the app, add app blocks in the Shopify theme editor, and generate drafts in Studio.
Can I use WandStore on multiple pages?
Section titled “Can I use WandStore on multiple pages?”Yes. Add widget blocks to any templates that support app blocks. Each block can have its own placement key and generated experience.
How do plans and generation limits work?
Section titled “How do plans and generation limits work?”Generation limits are based on the current plan. Free includes 5 generations. Starter is $19 / 30 days or $190/year with 50 generations. Growth is $49 / 30 days or $490/year with 120 generations. Scale is $99 / 30 days or $990/year with 300 generations.
How do I uninstall WandStore?
Section titled “How do I uninstall WandStore?”- Remove WandStore app blocks from the theme if desired.
- Uninstall the app from Apps in Shopify admin.
WandStore handles app lifecycle and compliance cleanup through Shopify webhooks.
